About
Dr. Armin Foghi, M.D. PhD is an interventional / non-interventional cardiologist who subspecializes in interventional treatment of superficial vein disease. Dr. Foghi is the previous Chief of Cardiology at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the founder of Myo Cardiovascular Center at Eastern New Mexico.
He founded and was the medical director for Myo Vein Clinic in New Mexico since 2008. Myo clinic vein program has evolved and excelled to be considered the most advanced and respected vein program in the state of the New Mexico for the last five consecutive years. Under Dr Foghi’s directorship, Myo Clinic was recognized nationally as the Center of Excellence for complete and comprehensive vein treatment, as well as training center for physicians across the USA.
He has been involved in state-of-the-art molecular cardiology research at University of New Mexico thanks to a PhD in molecular cell biology and biochemistry fields.
An active educator and lecturer for cardiovascular disease in various residency training and physician assistant programs, Dr Foghi has also kept the title, Assistant Professor, at University of New Mexico Medical Center for the last decade.
Dr. Foghi joined La Jolla Vein & Vascular in 2021-2022. During that time, he established a Center of Excellence with Angiodynamics. Following that, he took an esteemed position out of start, to be closer to family. He now returns to La Jolla Vein & Vascular to lead the North County Division of Vein & Vascular Care in Vista, California.
