PRP Enhancements for SkinPen® Microneedling
Take your SkinPen® microneedling results to the next level with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) enhancement therapy. PRP uses the healing properties found naturally in your own blood to support collagen production, accelerate skin renewal, and improve overall skin tone and texture.
During treatment, a small sample of blood is drawn and processed to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. After SkinPen® microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin, the PRP is applied topically, allowing the growth factors to deeply penetrate and enhance the skin’s natural healing response.
Benefits of PRP with SkinPen® Microneedling
- Enhances collagen and elastin production
- Improves skin texture and tone
- Helps soften fine lines and acne scars
- Supports faster recovery and reduced downtime
- Promotes brighter, healthier-looking skin
- Uses your body’s own natural growth factors
PRP enhancement is ideal for patients looking for more advanced skin rejuvenation with natural-looking results. Treatments can be customized for the face, neck, chest, and other areas needing texture and tone improvement.
Most patients notice smoother, more radiant skin within a few weeks, with continued improvement as collagen production increases over time.
How Does PRP Enhancement Work?
Brittany, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner trained in this procedure, will begin by drawing a small sample of your blood. (Don’t worry — Brittany previously worked in the NICU and has extensive experience with blood draws 😊)
Your blood is then placed into a specialized centrifuge that spins and separates the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the rest of the blood components. PRP contains concentrated growth factors that help support the skin’s natural healing and rejuvenation process.
Next, SkinPen® microneedling is performed to create tiny microchannels in the skin. Once the skin is prepared, the PRP is applied topically, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the treated areas for enhanced collagen stimulation and skin renewal.
This combination treatment helps improve skin texture, fine lines, acne scars, and overall radiance while supporting faster healing and recovery. Because PRP comes from your own body, it is a natural way to enhance your microneedling results with minimal downtime.
